Haley couldn’t sleep. New places, new people. It was just a little too much for one girl to handle. I mean really. She was only 11 for god’s sake! That and being muggle born didn’t help any. She held a small frown as she rolled out of bed and tugged on her green pajama pants and white tank top. Yeah, no. She grabbed her school robe and threw it on top of her pajamas. There was nothing that would make her go for a walk… in a tank top.
Leaving the dormitories she sneaked into the common room. She exited her house’s house and made her way around the castle. She stood in a hallway that was one right and one left and a few feet from the kitchens. She looked out a window and smiled at the stars. They were something. They made her think of home.
She sat in the window ledge and leaned back against the cold gray stone wall. She let a small smile cross her lips as she thought about home and what her parents would most likely be doing at the moment. Knowing them they were asleep on the sofa with a movie playing in the background.
She took in the area around and figured, ‘Well this is home. For now at less.’ She loved her home, but the wonder and … magic here was exciting.
